Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how SecureBridge (a product of Akwaaba Mortgage Ltd.) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you interact with our verification platform at securebridge.akwaabamortgage.com. It applies to borrowers, bank users, and visitors to our public website.

We collect only the data necessary for each specific verification purpose. This may include: Identity information (name, date of birth, government ID) for KYC verification. Income and employment data (pay stubs, tax returns, payroll records) for income verification. Financial account data (bank statements, account balances) for asset verification. Contact information (email, phone) for account management and notifications. Usage data (session logs, audit events) for security and compliance.

We use your data strictly for the purposes you have consented to. We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to your verification case. Your lender bank retains 100% of all final credit decisions. SecureBridge does not approve or decline loan applications.

All verification activities require your explicit, informed, and specific consent. You may view your consent records, revoke any consent at any time, and download a copy of your consent history from your borrower portal. Revoking consent may affect your lender's ability to complete the verification process.

We share your data only with: (1) your lender bank, in connection with your active verification case; (2) approved verification vendors (Persona, Plaid, ComplyAdvantage) under written data-processing agreements; (3) regulatory authorities if required by applicable law. We do not sell your personal data.

We retain your data for the duration of your verification case plus a compliance retention period defined by applicable law and your lender's data-sharing agreement. After the retention period, your data is securely and permanently deleted.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access a copy of your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; withdraw consent; lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

We use AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access control, immutable audit logging, and strict tenant isolation. All access to your data is logged and monitored. See our Security & Governance page for the full controls inventory.

SecureBridge is designed to comply with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and applicable data protection laws in jurisdictions where borrowers are located. Registration with the Ghana Data Protection Commission is a prerequisite for live platform activation.
